UPSHUR TAX OFFICE LENGTHENS HOURS IN GILMER

Upshur County Tax Assessor-Collector Luana Howell announced Monday she is lengthening the hours for her Gilmer office to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. County offices had been closed to the public at noon for several weeks under an order from the county commissioners court. In an email announcing the new hours, Howell did not say whether she was re-opening the Gladewater and Diana branches of her office, which have been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic
