Funeral Services for David Charles Schindler, 67, was held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 8, 2021, in the Chapel of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, followed by interment at Gladewater Memorial Park. Mr. Schindler passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021, at his residence. Mr. Schindler was born September 1, 1953 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Charles and Alice Rooney Schindler. David spent his career in construction, as a jack of all trades, working for American Freightways and Mobile Ship Chandlery. He and his wife of 41 years, Jan Stringer Schindler, lived on Lake Hawkins, where they spent time with their grandkids. Mr. Schindler was an avid outdoorsman, especially when sharing those experiences with his Grandchildren. Mr. Schindler will be greatly missed by the family and friends he leaves behind. Left to cherish David’s life is his wife, Jan Schindler; daughters, Alyson Frisby and her husband, Cole; Katheryn Lee and her husband, Adam; brother, Steve Schindler, Mike Schindler, Ron Schindler, and Raymond Schindler, four grandchildren; David and Clark Frisby, and Daniel and Ruby Lee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alice Schindler, and brother, Tom Schindler. The family received friends Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
