Moena Jean Welk-Heath

Moena “Jean” Welk-Heath, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at the Briarcliff Health Center in Tyler, Texas.

Moena was born on July 8, 1935 in Big Sandy, Texas to Olen and Hazel Welk. She was a graduate from Big Sandy High School. Moena loved playing word games, especially word search. She retired from Annie’s Attic in Big Sandy, where she was an order puller. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Everette Welk, Larry Welk, Olen Welk and Danny Welk, sister; Sandra Liedtke.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Kelly and Jackie DeWeese of Big Sandy,

Texas, Kerry and Angela DeWeese of Dallas Texas., daughter; Angie and Jeremy McAfee of Tyler, Texas, grandchildren; Kaidee, Kyle and Maegen DeWeese; Travis and Hunter Willoughby; Daniel, Katherine and Judah DeWeese; and one great- grandchild; Bailee Barnett.
